Since October 2026, I've been co-directing the video podcast "El Quiosc" at Escola Joso in Barcelona. It's been an amazing project that I've created alongside Jordi Pastor (another teacher at Escola Joso, a friend, a great comic artist, and many, many other things), with the support and trust of Escola Joso.
We've had the opportunity to bring some truly amazing talent to our table and talk about all kinds of things related to the life of an artist. I'm incredibly proud to have created something that brings together two things I've always loved throughout my artistic journey: learning from other artists and having artists talk about art.
With the help of some incredibly talented and skilled people, we've also built a set for filming the podcast. It features a wooden structure inspired by the traditional quioscos: the little kiosks where you could buy comics, toys, newspapers and all sorts of other things in Spain. You can still find them today, although many have evolved to offer different products and serve new purposes. Our set is a tribute to those places where so many artists began their journeys, where they had their first encounters with a piece of art, and where their imaginations started to grow.
And perhaps, in its own way, this podcast can become that same kind of welcoming space and source of inspiration for its audience.
We have completed shooting the first season and it's already published in every major podcasting platforms, I encourage you to listen (in catalan and some spanish). We are just starting the second season!
